John Paul Hardy returns with “Tidelines”, the first single taken from his forthcoming album lakes.twice.future. Originally from Durham, he presents a nearly seven-minute piece that was described as bridging contemporary classical composition, ambient immersion and an EDM impulse, and positions the single as the opening promise of a fifty-five-minute album.
Hardy developed his approach after studies with George Nicholson and Mike Vaughan and after twenty-three years in corporate IT, reconnecting with composition as a primary vocation. The single is framed around the image of shifting tides and precise transitions, and it is presented as an inaugural statement that stakes out a distinct creative direction for his upcoming full-length project.
